Barbara has over 40 years’ experience in guiding students on their journey to learn piano. Some students have been as young as 4 and as old as 76 and all have come away with joy in their accomplishments.
There are four books that are used when guiding students which include: lesson, technique, theory and performance. Each of these books complement the other and provide a solid foundation of learning.
For the younger student ages 4 through 6, we start with two books which have lessons and worksheets. They include CDs which give excellent support for practice at home.
For more experienced students, lesson plans are based on experience and their goals and desires for the future, whether that is for personal enjoyment, college entrance, or professional employment. Careful thought and planning determines their course of instruction.
