Barbara Browning is a talented pianist, organist, vocalist, accompanist and harpist. She is very organized and people-oriented and is an expert in organizing and directing choirs and ensembles. Special skills also include hand bell choirs with additional abilities that include composing and teaching on the collegiate level.
She has been the organist at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Orlando, FL for the past 18 years where she plays for weekly services and all special services throughout the year and is the accompanist for the Chancel Choir. She organizes the Young Artist’s Months and other youth musical activities, the yearly Music Camp, direct two hand bell choirs, and other miscellaneous ensembles.
As Music Professor at Valencia College is Orlando, FL for the past 20 years her classes have included:
- Music Theory (Levels 1-2), Sight Singing/Ear-Training (Levels 1-4), Music Appreciation, Music Literature, Class Piano (Levels 1-2), accompanied choirs
- Professor of Piano Students for applied degrees
She has been Director of Music for the Osceola Center for the Arts for “Annie” and “Guys and Dolls” and worked with their soloists and ensembles to polish and perfect their sound for performance.
She is President and owns Lucid Services, Inc., established in 1997, which is the corporation for Browning Music Studio. She was a Director of Sunshine Generation for 3 years which performed at Disney, Give Kids the World and other venues in the Orlando area. Through this corporation she has worked as a performer for hotels, events and has managed singing and performing groups in the Orlando area.
